Laura Judson was born and raised in Oakland and received her BA from Cal Berkeley. After pursuing dance as a career, she worked for a number of years in nonprofits geared towards providing services for Oakland’s young people. Her career in restaurants began after living in Oaxaca, Mexico for a short time. It was in Oaxaca that Laura grew a deep appreciation for the process and care that can go into cooking delicious food, and the loving way that food can be shared. She returned to the bay area and promptly started working at Oliveto, followed by Eccolo and Delfina, before helping open the Boot as a server in 2009. In 2012 she took on the roll as floor manager and became the general manager just a year later. When she is not hard at work at the Boot, you can usually find her enjoying a meal at other amazing Bay Area restaurants, playing cards or dominos, or getting down on a dance floor!
